Autumn

We shouldn’t be doing this.

Strangers become friends become lovers or friends-with-benefits. We were barely even strangers before we became close friends. Soon we were best friends.

Blood-buds. He oh-so-uncomfortably reminded me.

And now that same man has got me feeling like jelly against him, my heart thumping like a kettledrum against what feel like hollow ribs inside me.

I’m more than just wet. Pretty sure my feverish pulse has ruptured my brain.

“Make me feel good, sweetheart,” Talon croons in a deep, dominant voice. My mouth gapes. My insides become my outsides. I squeeze my thighs together but they just capture his erection between them.

His massive erection.

I swallow a moan. “I want to…” I whimper, reticent.

He chuckles. “If you’re worried we’ll ruin our friendship, Autumn, I think we already did.”

Oh he’s got a point there! “We are so ruined,” I say agreeably.

“Destroyed,” he says.

“If anything we owe it to ourselves to feel good about it.”

“I think so too.” He looks down at me hungrily, starved, like a wolf setting its eyes on its prey. Sensing weakness. Knowing something inside me is about to burst. “Autumn…” he growls out roughly.

That’s all it takes. Just hearing my name and I throw myself at him. Literally—holding my weight against his trunk, I sling my legs around his hips, feeling his solid naked length squished right against my slit. He grabs my ass and pulls me to him, gnashing his lips to mine that are gnashing his right back. We kiss like fiends instead of like friends. As if we’ve known each other this way this whole time. Or as if we’ve never even met.

I won’t ask him again if he’s sure. Not going to ask myself either. It’s too late for us now.

I keep on koala-holding him as he glides us over to the edge of the water, where an outcropping of smooth, soft rock seems to have been placed by the heavens for this very occasion. It’s awkward at first, and we take turns giggling, as Talon maneuvers our bodies until we’re both sitchee-ated. I’ve got one hand down on the stone to prop myself up against the fleshy part of that same hip. My other hand is gripping his shoulder—his nice, firm shoulder—and he lifts me to him, a hand on my waist, a hand on my thigh, his eyes on mine.

He’s got me completely ensnared in him in every way. And I know without a shadow of doubt—he’ll never let go.

Those poignant hazel eyes darken as he draws me in for another long, slow, sensual kiss. I sink my tongue in his perfect taste, so inexplicably familiar yet brand new; inhaling his heated, heady, masculine scent.

My Talon.

“Were you a good little bug while I was away?” he coos.

I try not to laugh, but it’s futile. “Is that your sex talk, Tal?”

“I don’t know baby,” Tally says. Looking only a little amused. His hand glides up my inner thigh, finding my silky wetness. “I’m trying out all my firsts on you.” He runs his fingertip up my seam.
